Courses I teach:
World History
This course will explore the people, events and ideas that shaped civilization, including our own United States. These major themes will include geographical determinism, political systems, nationalism, revolution, imperialism, militarism, war and peace. There will be a strong emphasis placed on independent research through project based learning. Major units of study will include: Modern Imperialism, Russian Revolution, World War I, Rise of Dictators, World War II, Cold War and Modern World Conflict.
Psychology
Psychology is a science that attempts to observe, describe, explain, predict and control human behavior. Through various class activities, demonstrations, "experiments", discussion and videos this course will introduce students to many dimensions of psychology. Our hope is that through our units of study students will make connections to their own personal life experiences and learn about themselves in the process.
