Do you think society can (or should) try to control how intelligent people use their skills. Can society try to give direction to those who are extremely intelligent, especially so their talents don’t go toward “evil” means. How can society do this? What is to be gained or lost if society does try to give direction to these individuals?
Or why shouldn’t society do this? What is to be gained or lost if we don't do this?
I do not think that the society should control how people use their intelligences. It could stop people from finding out really important things. It would be helpful for cray people but it would take away from people who do make good decisions. Society could monitor people so many ways if it wanted too but it would take away from innocent peoples freedom. "Evil" people are going to be around because the world is not perfect. but their is so much good in the world that overpowers it. if you control peoples intelligences the world would be a safer place but people would never learn from their mistakes.

I think society should control people's skills and abilities. With control, people can be placed where they belong in the working society. This can be done by organizing people into different schools where people can focus on their talents and skills. This will benefit society because people can maximize their potential, and at the same time be monitored for "evil" characteristics

I don't think society should be able to control how intelligent people use their skills. Everyone should be entitled to do what they love. While that does not always happen for less fortunate people, the intelligent peoples opportunities are much more vast. They could be completely content with being a mailman even if they're intelligence is very high. I mean if people who are intelligent use their skills in "evil" ways, then that's what happens. Society doesn't give direction to "dumb" people, so why give it to intelligent people? If they were to give direction to intelligent people, they may make them angry and depressed that they are not doing what they love, and veer them into doing evil things anyways.

I think society should try to control how intelligent people use their skills. It could help the country a lot if society helps guide the extremely intelligent people. I think they should do this to help control them and make sure they do not do "evil" things. Society could do this by testing everyone throughout their lives and see if they have an intelligence over other people. They could take this intelligence and help the government or help other people with how smart they are and what they are capable of. This could help society gain a lot over other countries. On the other hand, it takes the peoples rights and freedom away from them. It doesn't let people do what they want with their lives. I think, in the end, society can gain a lot but also lose a lot from trying to control people who have more intelligence than others.

I don't think society should control how intelligent people use their skills. They should be free to use their skills however they like. We have no right to tell them what they can and can't do. There is always a chance that they might use their skills to cause harm, but in my opinion it isn't a good enough reason to take away a person's freedom.

In society, there is a general sense of what intelligent people will or should do with their lives. However, the question of whether or not society should dictate what certain individuals of intelligence do with their lives raises an interesting argument.
In a moral sense, it is absolutely, positively, 100 percent wrong to control what anybody, highly intelligent or not, should do with their life. However they so choose to use their intelligence for is their concern, and their concern only.
If the individual uses their intelligence for evil purposes, it is law that they should be stopped. As long as what they do is legal, the choice is theirs for what they do. It is so that the world might miss out on certain advances that those individuals may have brought about, but who's to say that it is certain that they would make those advances in the first place.

No, I dont believe the government should be able to control how people think. They should not tell people how to use their intelligence. Society can try to give direction on how people should use their intelligence but the person makes the final decision. Society should not do this, they should let people make their own decisions without anyone else's help.
